AWARD-WINNING gospel artiste Minister Takesure Zamar Ncube has recently become one of Zimbabwe’s successful and celebrated gospel singers.
Takesure Zamar, who recently signed for a recording label, Bold Music with Pastor Tebs David in South Africa is experiencing another breakthrough on his music career.
He launched an album on October 28 in South Africa where he is now based. The album consists of 25 tracks.
“My album has 25 tracks in all but I have split it into two CDs. The first one has 10 songs and the other has 15 songs. All I can say is that God has been doing wonders in my life and this album comes as an appreciation to him even though I will never thank him enough, but I really appreciate God’s love towards me,” Zamar said.
Dubbed Worship Addicts Season One the album carries with it a message of worship as God is the master of all things.
“I am more than happy with the response. I think I am the first Zimbabwean gospel artiste whose music is sold formally in a foreign country. The joy of seeing a Zimbabwean product on the shelves in a foreign country in all South African provinces is a feeling that every artiste will embrace, especially if its gospel music,” he said.
Zamar added that he appreciates the love that has been shown to him by South Africans.
He will be conducting launches in all South African provinces and back at home.
“I owe so much to my fans here in South Africa so I will be partaking on launches in the entire provinces and mostly back home because I so much want my fans at home to have a taste of this good worship music,” he said.
Zamar has a word of encouragement to upcoming artistes who want to make it big in the music industry.
“What I have realised with many upcoming artistes is that they don’t believe in themselves. My encouragement to them is run in your lane, don’t follow what others are doing, do so because God is there and a major breakthrough will come in your way,” he said.
Zamar now has seven albums to his name. -@kayskudzai
