BULAWAYO’S young upcoming poet and author Njabulo Moyo has penned another inspirational book titled Motivating the Inner Soul that seeks to set the reader’s mind on a winning path with a renewed dedication and commitment to achieving life goals.Born and bred in the high density suburb of Mzilikazi, the 27-year-old who is no stranger to the publishing industry having published his first book African Sketches in 2012 and the second one Sketches From My Soul in 2013 said he was not one to look back once he sets his eyes on achieving something.

His new book contains wise sayings, teachings, philosophy and life experiences that suits well the title Motivating the Inner Soul, as the book indeed motivates the inner souls.

Describing his book Moyo said: “I wrote passionately, poetically, and above all pragmatically about greatness. This book is knit with creative quotable quotes that will set your mind on a winning tone.

“The analytic reflection on everyday themes of leadership, vision, hope, happiness, love, faith and motivation is quite refreshing and leaves the reader profoundly transformed.

“Also, this work is simple and straightforward making it user-friendly to the various classes of its readership. While this work motivates and inspires at the same time, it provokes questions that have dominated history without agreed solutions.”

He is inspired by Dr Samukele Hadebe who is the author of Isichazamazwi, a Ndebele dictionary. From him, he learnt to work hard and pursue unthinkable paths. His dream is to run a publishing house and a transformation consultancy. Moyo said one important factor in life was not so much of one’s current background, shortfalls or mistakes, but how a person views them and capitalises on them to transform not only their lives but those of others.

He has managed to provide motivational speeches at different platforms in Sweden, Denmark and Lebanon. As if this was not enough, Moyo became one of the youngest speakers to motivate leaders in the corporate world following his successful speech at a function organised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Due to his great strides in the art industry, Moyo was in June last year appointed the African Young Writers Association (AYWA) director for Zimbabwe.

AYWA is a youth organisation based in the Ghanaian capital, Accra and seeks to create a platform for young African writers to share stories about the craft. Part of the organisation’s activities include participation in book fairs, acting as a literary agent, spearheading rural outreach and literacy programmes, advocacy works, publishing, and yearly compilations of writings.

Moyo has been involved in motivational talk at schools like Mzilikazi High, St Gabriel’s and Metro College and almost all schools in the city under the Junior Council Banner and Rotary International.
