HIP-hop followers were left fuming after the Made In Bulawayo Hip-hop Concert held last week failed to live up to its billing.

It all started with the concert being delayed by more than two hours from its scheduled 5pm kick off, which set a negative feeling to what was to transpire at Elite 400.

The host DJ started wowing more than 400 hip-hop followers who had turned up for the event with famous South African hits while the concert management team tried to solve problems associated with the sound system.

When Benny Jones and GTI invaded the stage, people were in shock with the poor sound system. Rapper Cal_Vin expressed regret at disappointing hip-hop followers.

“The hip-hop concert failed to meet expectations and I fully take the blame for that. I’m deeply sorry to everyone who attended the concert, we are planning to organise another hip-hop concert as a way of apologising to the fans,” he said.

Cal_Vin’s ambition of taking charge of all the preparations crippled the concert.

Ingwebu ambassador and rapper Floppy X said Cal_Vin placed himself in a lot of pressure by putting everything on his shoulders.

“I contacted Cal_Vin on the issue of sound because I actually have a complete PA system which could have been used at the concert but Cal_Vin said he got it under control,” he said.

Growing tired and bored with what was unfolding, fans started to leave before the show had ended.

Cal_Vin, who was posed to steal the show was the last to perform with less than 50 people remaining as hundreds of people had already abandoned the venue.
