Can women still look sexy even beyond motherhood?

The Sunday News

Amber RoseTODAY’S topic is slightly on the sensitive side. Knowing how women can be protective about their fashion sense, especially when the opinion comes from a man, I might just wind up getting my head bitten off!
Anyway back to the subject at hand, as stated in the headline . . . I figure that it is possible for women to look even better than they did once they become mothers.

Wait, hold your horses, I am not just saying this because I am biased, but because of what I have seen and read in various shows and magazines.

Think about it . . . take American female celebrities — Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Christina Milian, the list is endless. You are probably asking why I haven’t mentioned any locals, well that’s because most of them rather become full time mums and have no time to care for their bodies, I stand to be corrected there though.

Although there is one outstanding woman, who really knows how to care for herself, even though she is a mother of, well I shall not mention the number, as I just might be wrong. We all know Sarah Mpofu-Sibanda, a veteran modelling instructor and artiste.

Anyway what really got me thinking about this issue were the epic twitter, Facebook and Instagram battles by American celebrities.

You know if I was still in my teen years, with nothing better to do I would have been drooling all over these celebrities’ pictures. There was a discussion where recent divorcees Amber Rose and Blac Chyna were said to be out of the “sexy” league because of being mothers.

The interesting part was their response, no words needed just pictures. I mean we all know that a picture is worth a thousand words and I mean these two women’s pictures are really worth more than a thousand words.

You know in between Amber Rose’s thirst trapping photos on social media and the organisation of her “Women’s Empowerment Sl*t Walk”, she took some time to defend her “coincidental best friend” Blac Chyna from the social media backlash.

Blac Chyna was criticised for some of her sexy club attire and Amber Rose took to her Instagram to say:
“Chyna, a mom can wear whatever the f*** she wants. We are moms 24/7/365 even if we’re at the club having a good time or when we wanna dress sexy . . . but moms are also sexual beings too duh how do you think u got here?” a mouthful but really loaded.

Her point is that they are mothers too but do deserve to look sexy and ravishing. Of course there are those that go extreme, especially those that are divorced. For those that are married (happily or not) get your chic back on and feel good as a mother! What’s stopping you from looking great? You don’t have to look like a grandmother when you are still young. Just because you have a child doesn’t mean that’s the end of the road for your fashion sense.

On that point I read a story on the net, where a 79-year-old man modelled topless for a certain fashion show.
The man Wang Deshun, literally rocked China Fashion Week in Beijing last Wednesday with a stride and intensity more like that of a man out to save humanity than one modeling clothes.

And why shouldn’t he be fiercer than the combined fierceness of every Olympian god and goddess?
His glory was one of contrast. While the other models wore floral quilted head coverings reminiscent of cats and geishas.

He wore a torso capable of ripping mountains from the earth; he was rippled like a young gym loving whippersnapper.

It is only a few models that can pull off the straight-up wave to the audience.
Fewer still enjoy careers into their eighth decade but this old geezer still does and always leaves people speechless.

Hi, people must seek first the presence of God and it directs us to choose good and bad things. Those pastors need God’s presence, also how can they pray for someone who is half naked? Only Satan will answer that prayer. — 0775 953 148
