HARARE-based entertainment promoters, Chipaz Promotions are confident that Cassper Nyovest’s Bulawayo City Hall Car Park gig will be a success despite a series of flops at the same venue.

One of the organisers of the concert Babongile Sikhonjwa said preparations were in full swing.

“Nyovest’s gig will be the greatest summer music concert that will re-establish the City Hall Car Park from being the haunted venue to the exuberant home of music concerts in Bulawayo,” he said.

Sikhonjwa added that there will be tight security to prevent chaos which saw Busy Signal concert end prematurely last month.

“In big concerts like these, the lives of people come first. We will ensure that people and artistes are secured with a special security team that will be on the look out for any abnormalities,” he said.

Sikhonjwa urged fans to come in numbers.

“Fans should understand that the Cassper Nyovest gig would be a glorious opportunity for them to be wowed by one of renowned hip-hop superstars in Africa. Tickets are set at $10 while VIP tickets cost $15,” he said.

South Africa’s richest rapper, Cassper Nyovest will be returning to Zimbabwe for the third time since 2015 where he performed at Hartsfield ground in Bulawayo.

The multi-award winning hitmaker will dazzle the stage with his latest album Thuto which has made waves across Africa.

Nyovest will have a reunion with rapper Cal_Vin, whom he performed with at Kalawa Home Coming in 2015. The two hip-hop superstars are also expected to steal the show with Z’khuphan remix, which is Cal_Vin’s top charting hit.

Harare-based dancehall sensation, Souljah Love, whose mouthwatering hit Pamamonya Ipapo became people’s daily talk this year, is also expected to set the concert on fire.
