AFTER recording their first win in Test cricket away from home since 2001 with a 151 run triumph over Bangladesh in the first Test in Sylhet, Zimbabwe will look to wrap up the series when the two teams clash in the second five-day encounter at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka from today.

The Hamilton Masakadza-led Chevrons picked up only their third win in Test cricket away from home since the country attained Test status in 1992.

Left hander Sean Williams was named man of the match after top scoring with 88 in Zimbabwe’s first innings. Masakadza and Peter Moor were the other top performers with the bat for the Chevrons in their win.

Spinners, Brandon Mavuta, Wellington Masakadza and Sikandar Raza were the architects of the Chevrons’ victory over the Tigers with some brilliant bowling in their second innings. This was after pace bowlers Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara did the damage in the Bangladesh first innings with five wickets between them.

It is yet to be seen if coach Lalchand Rajput will make changes to the team which won the first Test. Should there be any change, it will be to the batting with Ryan Burl and Craig Ervine the options if Rajput needs any reinforcements to the batting order. The likes of Brian Chari and Brendan Taylor struggled with the bat in the first Test but are unlikely to be dropped as Zimbabwe look to seal the series. —  @Mdawini_29
