SOME things are not new in the Christian world. One of those things that have got boringly old is the following statement. One of the ways to trigger God to empower you financially is by giving. Simple thing, but a good number of Christians still struggle with it. Giving should be done scripturally, this way, if you don’t see results, you can go to God and ask him.
Supernatural provision speaks of God looking after you. Matthew 6 verse 31
Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, “What shall we eat?” or ‘‘What shall we drink?’’ or “what shall we wear?”
God understands and knows what you need. The secret to getting what you need is prioritising God. If God becomes first in your life, then he assures provision for you.
2 Isaiah 1 verse 19 to 20
If you willingly obey, you will feast like kings. But if you are wilful and stubborn, you will die like dogs.
That’s right. God says so.
Our responsibility is to be obedient. Then God will add to you whatever good is available in the land. The land speaks of any place under your jurisdiction. It means your place of work, it means the nation you are resident in, it means all your means of survival. To enjoy your life, be obedient, very simple. When God says make giving a habit and you will be wealthy, then just do it and see. It may come as a shock to some people but, prayer is not in the wealth creation equation. You can pray forever but until you obey and give, you will be poor.
All countries have some sort of wealth, even the poorest nations known to men have some sort of wealth. The trick is in finding it. Disobedience will cause you to be blind. It is very possible to exist in a nation with all sorts of things that could make you wealthy and not even see it. Actually you may even consider relocating to a different nation all because you are disobedient and you become blind.
Supernatural provision from God means provision that is above the natural. It means unexplainable by natural law. It would qualify to be described as abnormal. Even when God provides for you, he normally does it through your work. He will not spoon-feed you while you sit.
Sit down, think. Because of the kings of life we have in town setup, we become extra busy with the wheel winds of activity carrying us from one place to another. We have this and that to do. So largely we do not utilise our minds to think. Most of us think while on the move. We have no time to shut out all activities and think about our lives. But this is another way God assists his children. When you give yourself time to think every day, he drops ideas into you. You begin to see in your mind things you should be doing, things you could do better and things you could do something extra. Think of business ideas, think them through from start to finish, factor in the wrong that could happen. Put in place measures to prevent the wrong from taking you out of business. Think beyond what is happening around you because if you cannot think beyond yourself, you will remain yourself. Doing well in school is not a qualification nor a guarantee that you will be wealthy. On the contrary, a lot of people that do well in school become poor in the long run because they only rely on salaries for a good chunk of their lives. Failing school does not make you a failure. Your mind and your gift will raise you and make you sit with great people.
The only way to harness such power in yourself is to think it out. Think of how you will do it.
Proverbs 24 verse 3
It takes wisdom to build a house and understanding to set it on a firm foundation. Wisdom is knowing what to do, to whom to do and when to do. So acquire knowledge, understand the knowledge and finally put the knowledge to action. It will help you to progress. It may take a bit of time, but the progress will be permanent. A lot of things done in an unnecessary rush usually don’t last.
Proverbs 21 verse 5
Careful planning put you ahead in the long run. Hurry and scurry put you further behind.
Luke 14 verse 28
Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you will know if you can complete it.
In simple terms what Jesus is saying is: Sit down and plan. A house there stands for a source of protection. In some versions of the Bible it say one building a tower. A tower is a source of protection. In the days of old people would run into a tower when their city was attacked. Today money is a hedge of protection. So to build wealth, sit down, think, plan. See the emphasis on sitting. It means collect yourself, and give it time. This directly means you cannot think while on the move. You cannot call it deep thought when the place does not allow your mind to be in a place with no noise.
Psalm 90 verse 12
So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
We must understand that we do not have a lot of time on earth. So we cannot afford to waste away days doing things without thinking them through. A foolish man is quick to jump into things without thinking them through. But a wise man will sit down, sift through the information and come up with a good solution. But get this, they come up with solutions through thinking.
Proverbs 14 verse 15
The gullible believe anything they are told, the prudent sift and weigh every word.
Nehemiah 2 verse 12
I got up in the middle of the night, I and a few men who were with me. I hadn’t told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem. The only animal with us was the one I was riding.
Plan, if you do not plan, you will always suffer because you do not have direction. Don’t be an impulsive person who does things without planning. Sometimes opportunities require you to act swiftly, but if you are not sure, it is better for the opportunity to pass you by instead of jumping into it with a potential of throwing away money. You will die poor. Sit down and calculate the plan. Write down a financial plan of your life. If there is no targeted outcome, then there is a high chance that after many years of working, you will find out that you will are still at the same place. Learn to think, plan and grab opportunities that have been brewed thoroughly in your head. Be blessed.
