BULAWAYO does not for a moment compare with any other city in the roar and bustle of entertainment.

It is a city that everyone knows is not afraid to party and is the envy of the country and perhaps beyond.

Christened the City of Kings, Bulawayo has been known to host some of the most explosive gigs and events that remain on people’s lips for years.

This week the beautiful and majestic City of Kings, roars to life, with an assortment of shows billed around the city, as it plays host to the 57th edition of the esteemed Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, which kicks off on Tuesday.

Its ability to host a brood of parties will bewilder even the brightest of all scholars.

It will be a hive of activity, as there are a huge number of explosive shows lined up at different venues around the city.

The fair in its own capacity will also play host to a number of cocktails that are literally marked on many people’s calendars.

The scheduled shows will cater for all age groups and genres.

Top of the list and perhaps much anticipated is the Jah Prayzah and Winky D show, which has been dubbed the Soja and Gaffa for Life Concert 2016.

This would be the first time for the award winning artistes to share the stage in Bulawayo. The show has been slated for 30 April and will be held at the Amphitheatre.

Another show not to be missed is the Second Coming, which will be held at Queens Sports Club on the same night. the show will feature South African stars such as Nathi Mankayi (Nomvula), Bucie Nqwiliso (Easy to Love), Cash Time Life (Kid X, Skhanda Queen), Vusi Nova,Tarajika (Tarajika Music), Bulawayo hip-hop king Cal_Vin, SlammaDj and many more.

On 29 April Alliance France in Bulawayo will host the Alliance Francaise International Jazz Day, which will feature the Josh Meck Trio at Banff Lodge in Hillside suburb.

On the same night Oliver Mtukudzi will play alongside Jeys Marabini at the Large City Hall at a show held in remembrance of Tuku’s son Sam, who died in a car crash in 2010. The show has been dubbed Celebrating Sam Mtukudzi and will also feature Gary Tight, Pakare Paye Ensembles and Mbeu.

Also on the same night comedy lovers will be treated to the Umahlekisa Comedy Club comics, Carl Joshua Ncube, Ntando and H.O at Rainbow Hotel.

Sandra Ndebele alongside Khuliyo will also be out to rekindle their star at the Bulawayo Theatre on 27 April.

Fingers Modelling Academy will also host the first ever and much anticipated Miss Africa Zimbabwe pageant. The event will be held at an outdoor event, between 10th avenue and Fife Street on 28 April.

Pubs and clubs around the city will also be on full throttle offering various promotions over the duration of the trade fair.
