DURING Easter people are hardly at home, they spend most of their Easter holidays in church or church camps but that does not mean deserting your home. There are easy and cheaper ways to spruce up the look of your home during this Easter. Just do something small for your family, it can be a simple centre piece for your table, having simple candleholders and more.

This Easter you can use your Easter eggs for more than just an egg hunt — you can put them to good use by using them as a centre piece for your table. Easter eggs can be used as decorative accessories whereby you gather them in a decorative tray and place them on the centre of your table. You can also pile the eggs in pails and pair them with beautiful flowers in a vase and even using them as miniature flowerpots for spring seedlings.

Welcome Easter with pretty vessels dressed up to fit spring plants or to serve as your Easter baskets. You can use different fabrics and you can determine the amount of fabric you need by wrapping it around the container, allowing extra fabric on all edges; trim. Don’t forget to cut openings for the handle. Make sure it’s neatly done by folding all edges. .

A bundle of pastel Easter eggs works as a festive decoration for your front door. Wrap plastic foam egg shapes with crepe paper, and attach the ends with glue or a small straight pin. Add ribbon (colour of your liking), secured with small straight pins, and leave a long end for tying. Gather the eggs at various lengths and tie the ribbons together. Finish with a pretty bow, and hang the decoration from a removable adhesive hook or wreath hanger.

Easter decorating should not be stopped indoors; it can also be done outside. Make a wreath for your door with ribbons and greenery, adding some Easter elements to give it a seasonal touch. Pretty spring decorations can stay out all season.
