SOUTH AFRICA’S DJ Fresh, whose real name is Thato Sikwane, recently lashed out at reports claiming that he fathered a love child with his longtime manager, Tsholo Mosaka.
Fresh, who made headlines last year, as it was claimed that he was cheating on his wife — Thabiso Sikwane, said he was never given the opportunity to respond to the allegations that saw his name being dragged into the mud.
In an interview during the Kalawa Homecoming gig in Bulawayo last week, Fresh maintained that he did not father a child out of wedlock.
“I don’t have a child with Tsholo and I must add I was not given a fair opportunity to reply to any of the allegations. At the time, I was in Botswana when that article was published and funny enough no attempts were made to obtain a comment from me, my wife or even my manager. There was not even an attempt to contact me via social media,” he said.
The heavily tattooed Fresh said all was well with his wife, who gave birth to their third child last year, stating that the rumours actually made his family stronger.
“I mean Tsholo has been a longtime friend of the family too and we do business together and my wife has never doubted that,” he said.
On a lighter note, Fresh said he missed playing in Zimbabwe, as he had not received any requests or bookings for him to play in the country. The DJ last played in the country in 2013 at Horizon Bar and Grill.
“I only get bookings in Botswana and overseas, as there is no one who has approached me or requested that I play in Zimbabwe. I miss the Zimbabwe crowd so much and as you saw, revelers really enjoyed today when I was playing,” he said.
