SCHOOLS that participated in this year’s edition of the Dumisani Foundation football tournament were yesterday presented with their full playing uniforms which came from the United Kingdom.

Coaches as well as sports directors from the four schools, Entumbane, Gifford, Milton and Mtshabezi were handed their kits by the Dumisani Foundation volunteers in Zimbabwe, Arthur Mpuli, Juliet Magwali and Gibson Mpala. Entumbane and Mtshabezi were given two sets uniforms each since they fielded boys and girls teams in the tournament.

Entumbane were champions for both boys and girls in the finals held in Mtshabezi in August. The Entumbane girls clobbered Mtshabezi 7-0 while the boys defeated the same school 4-3 on penalties with the match having concluded 1-1 in normal time.

Dumisani Ndlovu, a United Kingdom-based University of Zimbabwe educated school teacher, the man behind Dumisani Foundation sourced and shipped the uniforms to be distributed to the teams. They had not yet arrived by the time of the finals hence they were only presented to the schools yesterday.

Every year, the schools which are part of the tournament which started in 2015 receive full playing uniforms to use in the finals. Kits that were also set aside yesterday were for the Matobo District duo of Donkwe Donkwe Primary School and Ethandweni Children’s Home.
