BISHOPS have been urged to express their sermons through literature to enable people to refer to them constantly, said the Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Nomthandazo Eunice Moyo last Wednesday at the book launch of Bishop Nyathi and official opening of Harvest House International (HHI) Bookshop in Bulawayo.

Bishop Nyathi has written more than 20 books so far, including Desperate for God’s Presence, Different Levels of the Anointing, Developing the Prophetic Ministry and Repentance.

The minister said, “Your contribution in education of Zimbabwe on spiritual matters is of paramount importance to the achievement of national strategies as it plays an important role in people’s lives.”

She said due to Zimbabwe’s high literacy rate it is mandatory for everyone to partake in reading as the spiritual books educate Zimbabweans on the right doctrine that everyone should adopt.

Bishop Nyathi said, “The writings are important because they even help the generations to come to continue reading instead of one dying with the knowledge that was going to help.

He said all his sermons are written down so that people can refer to them anytime and also the books are not only written for HHI members but for everyone who wants to grow spiritually worldwide.

It is important for authors to refer to the Bible and also research when writing spiritual books.

Former Education Minister David Coltart said, “Being a leader is to inspire people, Bishop Nyathi has also inspired other bishops to write spiritual book.”

He said the book launch should also challenge everyone so as to develop the nation.

Bishop Nyathi has carved a name for himself and is recognised as an apostolic and prophetic voice beyond his native country, and has planted over 400 churches globally.

Bishop Nyathi’s wife is a senior Reverend at HHI.

Having founded the Maximised Lifestyle International, a women’s ministry of Harvest House, she also engages in social responsibility and community development activities.

HHI intend to have their own television station, Open Heavens TV, and are preparing the groundwork through video filming and production workshops.
