STRUGGLING Bulawayo sides How Mine and Chicken Inn square off in the first round of the Chibuku Super Cup at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane.
The two Bulawayo teams have found the going tough in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League which has seen the gold miners part ways with their coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube last week after a string of poor results, the latest being a 2-1 loss to FC Platinum last Saturday.

How Mine won 2-1 in the only meeting between the two teams so far this season and would be looking to continue with that dominance over Chicken Inn.

Isheunesu Chaka, who together with Jeremiah Makota got How Mine into the top flight last season, has been handed the job of head coach on an interim basis, said they were going to play their normal game describing the duel as a money game.

“Our preparations have gone well, this is a money game but we will play it like any other game,’’ said Chaka.

The Chikurupati acting head coach said he has all the players at his disposal except for veteran midfielder Menard Mupera who is still sidelined by injury.

Goalkeeper Ephraim Mazarura, Gilbert Banda, Nyasha Mukumbi, Brighton Dube, Morris Kadzola, George Magariro, Edmore Muzanenhamo, Wonder Sithole and Kudakwashe Musharu are some of the players he would be counting on to guide How Mine to the next round.

Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas is under pressure to deliver positive results at the club. The Gamecocks will be looking at building on from the 1-0 triumph over Hwange at Luveve Stadium last Sunday.

Skipper Moses Jackson, John Bernard, Clemence Matawu, Ismael Lawe, Tendai Mukambi and Thomas Chimenya are some of the key players for Chicken Inn.
