Zandile Sibanda Sunday News Reporter MINISTER of Water Resources and Development Mr Samuel Sipepa Nkomo and villagers in Tsholotsho have commended Vice-President Dr John Landa Nkomo for constructing a school which will transform the lives of a number of villagers.In an interview on Thursday last week after touring Landa J Nkomo High School, Minister Nkomo paid tribute to Dr Nkomo for his commendable works. “We are excited about the project. It marks the coming of many projects to Tsholotsho. The Vice-President is not going to stop here but he is going to make sure that he has many more other schools but we are concentrating on this one and if we have an impact he is going to move to another one and other schools,” he said. The Principal Director in Vice-President Nkomo’s Office Mr Benson Martins Dube said they were now ready for the commissioning of the school. “We are now ready for the commissioning of the school. Once we are given the green light the commissioning is going to take place. It will be announced in due course,” he said. He said the provincial administrator has mobilised enough people for the event. The chairman of the School Development Committee of Landa J Nkomo High School Mr Polson Magabelana Ndlovu said they were ready for the commissioning of the school. “We are now ready for the commissioning of the school. We were just doing a few touch ups such that at the end of this week everything will be complete,” he said. He expressed optimism about the chicken project which will benefit the whole village and school children in their agricultural studies. “The chicken project is now complete and this will mainly benefit school children who are doing agricultural studies and the villagers will get skills on rearing chickens,” said Mr Magabelana Ndlovu. Mr Eleck Mpofu one of the villagers from Ward 12 in Manqe expressed gratitude to Dr Nkomo for a noble idea and urged other leaders to emulate him.
