Final part of the 4-part message

Theme Scriptures:

Psalm 24 vs 1-2.

Psalm 104 vs 5-6.

Psalm 29 vs 3,10.

Psalm 24 vs 1-2.

Psalm 104 vs 5-6.

Psalm 29 vs 3, 10.

Three Sundays ago we covered the importance of water to man which cannot be over emphasised.

Before creation, the entire surface of the earth was covered with water.

In other words, before the heavens and earth were created all of creation was filled with water.

Genesis 1 vs 9,

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered

together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.

Scriptures affirm that the whole earth was founded upon the waters.

Psalm 24 vs 1-2,

Vs 1, “The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein”.

Vs 2, “For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters”.

Two Sundays ago we discussed the fall of Lucifer, revealed in the following scriptures.

Isaiah 14 vs 12-17.

Luke 10 vs 18,

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Revelation 12 vs 12,

“Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Satan was also seen coming out of the sea.

Revelation 13 vs 1-2.

We also shared with you some attributes and characteristics of water spirits.

And last Sunday we dealt with manifestation of water spirits and the reasons why devotees and leaders get initiated.

Finally we dealt with two evil effects of water spirit worship.

Evil effects of water spirit worship (continued).

Idolatry attracts war and bloodshed.

Jeremiah 7 vs 31-32,

Vs 31, “And they have put up the high place of Topheth in the valley of the son of Hinnom, burning their sons and their daughters there in the fire; a thing which was not ordered by me and never came into my mind”.

Vs 32, “For this cause, the days are coming, says the Lord, when it will no longer be named Topheth, or, The valley of the son of Hinnom, but, The valley of Death: for they will put the dead into the earth in Topheth till there is no more room”.

Ezekiel 6 vs 13-14,

Vs 13, “And you will be certain that I am the Lord, when their dead men are stretched among their images round about their altars on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every branching tree, and under every thick oak-tree, the places where they made sweet smells to all their images”.

Vs 14, “And my hand will be stretched out against them, making the land waste and unpeopled, from the waste land to Riblah, through all their living-places: and they will be certain that I am the Lord”.

Idolatry defiles and pollutes the land and the people.

Jeremiah 16 vs 16-18,

Vs 16, “See, I will send for great numbers of fishermen, says the Lord, and they will take them like fish in a net; and after that, I will send for numbers of bowmen, and they will go after them, driving them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks”.

Vs 17, “For my eyes are on all their ways: there is no cover for them from my face, and their evil-doing is not kept secret from my eyes”.

Vs 18, “And I will give them the reward of their evil-doing and their sin twice over; because they have made my land unclean, and have made my heritage full of the bodies of their unholy and disgusting things”.

It brings a covering of darkness over the land and the people.

Isaiah 25 vs 7,

“And in this mountain he will put an end to the shade covering the face of all peoples, and the veil which is stretched over all nations”.

6. It affects not only the person that commits the sin but many generations.

2 Kings 10 vs 23-28,

Vs 23, “Then Jehu and Jehonadab the son of Rechab went into the temple of Baal, and said to the worshipers of Baal, Search and see that no servants of the LORD are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”

Vs 24, “So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men on the outside, and had said, ‘If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escapes, whoever lets him escape, it shall be his life for the life of the other’”.

Vs 25, “Now it happened, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, ‘Go in and kill them; let no one come out!’ And they killed them with the edge of the sword; then the guards and the officers threw them out, and went into the inner room of the temple of Baal”.

Vs 26, “And they brought the sacred pillars out of the temple of Baal and burned them”.

Vs 27, “Then they broke down the sacred pillar of Baal, and tore down the temple of Baal and made it a refuse dump to this day”.

Vs 28, “Thus Jehu destroyed Baal from Israel.'

God’s search for the Joshua, Caleb, Gideon, Jehu, Elijah and Deborah company.

Such anointings of the above company will:

Break bonds of wickedness.

Isaiah 58 vs 6,

“Is not this the holy day for which I have given orders: to let loose those who have wrongly been made prisoners, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the crushed go free, and every yoke be broken?”

Setting captives free.

Isaiah 49 vs 24-26,

Vs 24, “Will the goods of war be taken from the strong man, or the prisoners of the cruel one be let go?”

Vs 25, “But the Lord says, Even the prisoners of the strong will be taken from him, and the cruel made to let go his goods: for I will take up your cause against your haters, and I will keep your children safe”.

Vs 26, “And the flesh of your attackers will be taken by themselves for food; and they will take their blood for drink, as if it was sweet wine: and all men will see that I the Lord am your saviour, even he who takes up your cause, the Strong One of Jacob”.

Enforcing the manifestation of God’s will and  purpose.

Ephesians 3 vs 10,

“So that now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavens might be made clear through the church the wide-shining wisdom of God . . .”

Causing the veil of darkness over cities and  nations to be lifted and destroyed.

Isaiah 25 vs 7,

“And in this mountain he will put an end to the shade covering the face of all peoples, and the veil which is stretched over all nations”.

Breaking the power of curses and ancient  covenants.

2 Kings 2 vs 19-22,

Vs 19, “Then the men of the city said to Elisha, ‘Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren’”.

Vs 20, And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him.

Vs 21, “Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, ‘Thus says the LORD: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness’”.

Vs 22, “So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke”.
