CLUB 40 forty finally opens its doors this week after months of renovation.
When the club shut its doors several months ago, reopened again and again under different names only to close its doors once again, it was assumed that it was gone for good.
As it turned out what the club merely needed was some alone time and plenty of pampering.
With an estimated budget of more than US$100 000 that was set aside for renovations its doors finally open this Friday.
The club’s new owner, Dumisani Mutorera, confirmed that the club would be opened on Friday but would hold an official opening ceremony at the end of the month.
“It’s about time we opened our doors, people have waited long enough for this and it’s time we give them what they desire. We will host an official party at the end of August to celebrate our new born baby,” he said.
Mutorera noted that he was yet to confirm bookings of an artiste he intended to perform at the official launch.
Over the last few years the club, which was better known as Visions, operated under different managers but all failed to rekindle its flair since it made its name in the early nineties.
Perhaps with the massive pampering the club has been receiving it will surely thrive this time around.
Club 40 forty has had its interiors luxuriously renovated and now features a new experience that would undoubtedly give other clubs a run for their money.
The makeover involved swanky décor, which include colourful walls with luxurious bars, VIP lounge, couches, overhead sky cameras, mirrors and chandeliers.
Some of the renovations that have been done at the club include extra toilets, reconditioning the stage and bars.
“This will be one of the few air-conditioned clubs in Bulawayo; we have retiled the place as you can see, added lots of features to give our customers a warm experience. We have also reconditioned and have added new systems to the coldrooms so that we never run out of cold beer,” said Mutorera.
Club 40 forty’s interior deco was designed by an internationally acclaimed club designer.
“As I had mentioned to you some time ago we hired an international club designer to do our interior. I think we will benefit a lot from her designs,” he added.
