FC Platinum .  . . . . . . . (0) 1

Dynamos . . . . . . . . . . (1) 2

DYNAMOS registered their fourth victory over FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane yesterday.

Platinum came into the match bubbling with confidence after the sacking of coach Rahman Gumbo who had failed in his tenure to beat the defending champions.

Tendai Chikuni who is the interim coach saw his team putting up a polished display that saw them even manage to score a goal past Dynamos but he however paid dearly for leaving Charles Sibanda on the bench.

Denver Mukamba who failed to get a move to the ABSA premiership opened the scoreline with an 18th minute strike.

Veteran striker Murape Murape flicked a long throw from the right by Thomas Magorimbo into the 12-yard box and Mukamba’s effort hit the nets with Tafadzwa Dube sprawling on the ground to send wild celebrations in the packed stadium. The home team found the equaliser in the 60th minute through striker Donald Ngoma who missed action in the first half of the season through injury.

FC Platinum’s world collapsed in the 69th minute when Qadr Amin was sent for an early shower by Bulawayo referee Philani Ncube when he hit Partson Jaure in an off the ball incident.

Chigova showed that he was not only a good goalkeeper but a good boxer as well as he threw a number of punches during the commotion but the referee and his assistants failed to see the incident. After the sending off the referee found it difficult to control the match and on numerous occasions his decisions were questionable and the match had to be played with missiles raining in the pitch.

Farai Mupasiri, a second half substitute carried the day for the visitors when he scored the winner in the 84th minute.
