Robert Katunga Sunday News Reporter PREPARATIONS are on course for the hosting of the second edition of the Good Health Good Living expo by the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company (ZITF) that will see visitors enjoying free health checks and fitness demonstrations. The health, fitness and lifestyle exhibition which will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo from 28-29 September will run under the theme 360 degree wellbeing . . . Body, mind and spirit. ZITF Company deputy general manager, Ms Noma Ndlovu, said the expo was a consumer oriented event that attracted nearly 40 direct exhibitors and over 500 visitors last year. “The Good Health, Good Living expo is a consumer oriented event that was born out of the realisation that health issues touch us all, one way or another. Now more than ever, we need to care for ourselves and the planet with much more attention,’’ said Ms Ndlovu. Ms Ndlovu said bookings for this year’s edition were in progress and exhibition space was still available for exhibits including sports and active wear, vitamins and supplements, books and magazines, pilates and yoga among other disciplines. Products and services to be exhibited this year include health products, hospital and mobility equipment, laser technology, medical aid services, herbal medicines, skin care products among other displays. She said the exhibition was distinct from all others in the sector as it was a composite expo. “The three interactive facets namely, the exhibition itself, live sporting and fitness demonstrations as well as free presentations and motivational talks, will be housed in dedicated areas in Hall 3,’’ she said. Topics to be covered inculde a holistic approach to success, achieving 360 degree well being, ways to defeat diabetes and reduce cancer risk as well as pregnancy and maternal health. |
