Our faith starts and ends in Him!

For the past three weeks we have been looking at the description of Jesus as the Alpha and the Omega of our lives, culminating in the call to worship the LORD. When one reads the 12th verse of chapter 1 of Revelation, a clarity comes to the fore; we need to, “. . . turn and see the voice that speaks to us!” Seeing the voice is an act of responding to the truth that is revealed to us. Walk with me to the next level of seeing Jesus as the sustainer of our faith. He is seen as the author and finisher of our faith in Hebrews 12:2.

How Nyathis of Makhweni landed at Makupa

In rural areas there were white traders and the Land Apportionment Act of 1930 formalised their presence in reserves otherwise set aside for African occupation. The trading stores became centres for changes in material culture (calico, three-legged pot, teapots, and suitcases). Items of Western material culture were bought from these stores, a majority of which were owned either by Jews or the Chinese.

Nyathis group found west of the Shashane River

Today we are looking at another group of the Nyathis, a group found west of the Shashane River. We shall seek out these Nyathis (found west of the Shashane River) before we end up with those in the nuclear area of Gwanda South: the bulk Babirwa who were led into Zimbabwe during the days of the Lozwi/Rozvi State.

PRISONS in the country are still facing challenges in providing inmates with food, blankets and other necessary needs as the country continues to grapple with budgetary constraints, an official has said.

The situation has seen the Zimbabwe Prison Service (ZPS) failing to give inmates three square meals a day while blankets are scarce.
