ITS all or nothing as award winning contemporary musician Jah Prayzah plans on going all out to launch and promote his seventh album Mdhara Vachauya in Harare and Bulawayo.

The album launch will be held on 12 and 13 August in the respective cities, with two cars, fridges and LED TV up for grabs.
Jive Zimbabwe director, Benjamin Nyandoro said as promoters and partners to Jah Prayzah’s music and brand, they were excited to be giving away huge prizes to promote the album.

“We have two of the latest versions of the Toyota Vitz valued at $6 500 each up for grabs. One will be won in Harare while the other in Bulawayo. We also have TV sets and fridges up for grabs. The first promotion will be in Harare and the last in Bulawayo. This will be a first for Bulawayo and we want to give the same attention as Harare. There is already much hype about the album and we want to give fans value for their money and good quality music,” said Nyandoro.

Jah Prayzah whose real name is Mukudzei Mukombe, through his manager — Keen Mushapaidze said he was ready to continuously deliver to his fans across the country.

“We will be embarking on a road show where he (Jah Prayzah) will get a chance to meet and interact with fans, while also promoting his latest album. We are excited and can’t wait to give our fans a taste of new quality music,” he said.

The album launch will also pit other powerful names such as Zim Dancehall king Winky D, Judgement Yard, Zim rap man of the moment Cal_Vin and other local DJs.

Jah Prayzah’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze told Sunday Life in an interview that all logistics were in place and that the Jerusarema, Eriza and Tsviriyo hit maker would officially launch his seventh album in Bulawayo.

“We are planning on creating hype about the show and his album launch. We will be embarking on a road show from Harare to Bulawayo, where we will make periodic stops in cities and towns along the way. We just hope we will arrive in Bulawayo in time to have a city road show.

“He will launch his album in Harare the day before then Bulawayo on the following day. This will be the first time he launches an album in Bulawayo and it is his way of giving back to his fans from this region, as he has been getting tremendous support from this end. This will be a huge concert and it will be bigger and better than the last,” he said.

Mushapaidze said the road show would create hype for the show and also about his latest album.

“We hope to be in Bulawayo on time so that we can have a road show in the city. He wants to meet his fans from Bulawayo and surrounding areas. We have a list of good sponsors supporting him (Jah Prayzah) and this should serve as an example to the corporate sector that they should support the entertainment industry and our local artistes. Companies should rally behind our artistes,” he said.

Jah Prayzah and Winky D performed in Bulawayo to a sold out venue in April.

A local representative from 2 Kings Entertainment working in collaboration with Jah Prayzah’s team said people were already hyped about the show.

“People are already judging proclaiming this gig as the best, considering that it has Winky D, Jah Prayzah, Judgement Yard and Zim’s hip hop best Cal_vin, it’s the first show of its kind and people can’t wait for the day. The first 500 fans to purchase the ticket combo, which consists of the album and t-shirt, will stand a chance to win prizes,” said the representative warmly known as Terminator.
