IN a bizarre incident, a tenant from Mbundane suburb in Upper Rangemore in Bulawayo who was cleaning her room mysteriously found a live snake inside a closed one litre bottle, which was aggressive when residents tried to remove it but only calmed down after a local prophet poured holy water on the reptile.
A resident who took a video (posted on our website www.sundaynews.co.zw) but refused to be named fearing the act could be associated with witchcraft said the video was self-explanatory.

The video shows the snake violently wriggling inside the bottle and a lot of people pushing each other to catch a glimpse of the reptile in the bottle.
In the moving pictures, two Apostolic prophets from the neighbourhood are seen arriving at the house.

The prophets then poured “holy water” on the snake and it became weak.
One of the prophets is heard saying if the snake was a normal one, not the one used for witchcraft, the water was not going to have any effect on it.
However, the video ends when the two prophets put the snake in a sack saying they were going to burn it in the mountains.

When Sunday News visited the house yesterday, a woman was hostile saying she was not going to co-operate on the matter.
“I will not tell you who I am, what is it that you want to know? Isn’t it you have the video so why not watch it, this matter will not end here. We are going to report that guy who took the video. I saw him and he is going to be in trouble. The police are going to deal with him, how can he just come to our house and start shooting videos? Go write whatever you want as long as you do not know my name I don’t care,” she said.
