BULAWAYO-BASED Matabeleland Busters will on Saturday participate in a season build-up rugby tournament in Louis Trichardt, South Africa.
The one day event at Louis Trichardt Rugby Club whose matches will last 25 minutes a half is set to have 10 teams competing.
Busters head coach Ruben Kumpasa said they were geared up for the tournament and have also extended an invitation to other clubs in Bulawayo, Old Miltonians, Western Panthers and Police Bulldogs to make their players available for the tour.

“We have been invited to a pre-season tournament in Louis Trichardt on Saturday. We have extended an invitation to other clubs to release their players. So far we have five players from OMs who are keen on going with us,’’ said Kumpasa.

A delegation of 25 players and two officials is expected to make the trip with former national team player Jafet Ndebele having been appointed team captain. With no national league set up this season, the Bulawayo clubs are only going to play against each other and against Midlands teams. The tournament in South Africa is sure to give Busters, the strongest and most organised club in Bulawayo, good competition.
