MZOBANZI Mlauzi, better known by his stage name Mzoe7, has promised fans spectacular shows that will see him become a dominant force in the music industry.

The Vuzu hit maker has previously been nominated twice in Song of the Year category. In 2015 he was nominated for his blockbuster hit I cry too and in this year’s Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) for the hit Ingoma with Sandra Ndebele.

He was also among the nominees for Best Male Artist which was eventually won by hip-hop artiste Cal_Vin.

Speaking before dazzling the stage at the Winter Carnival Concert last week, Mzoe7 said coming close to scooping the Song of the Year award twice has stimulated and energised him to work extra hard.

“After the BAA I have set up an extraordinary pace which will make me the undisputed top Bulawayo musician, to others it might seem like I’m a loser which will be wrong because being a nominee demonstrates creativity and showmanship,” he said.

He added that he was focusing on being a better brand which will inspire upcoming artistes. Mzoe7 said he was preparing for the much anticipated blockbuster concert that will see him sharing the stage with well established international superstars on 4 August at Bulawayo City Hall Car Park.

“Right now I’m tightening the screws and gearing up for the dream performance at the City Hall car park where I will share the stage with tremendous talents namely Busy Signal from Jamaica and South African house music sensation Busiswa,” he said.

The Dola-bag hit maker added that he wanted to be recognised nationally, thus he had tours lined up from August.

“Reaching every corner of Zimbabwe is my fundamental aim right now. Gwanda, Mutare, Gweru and Harare are among cities I will be touring soon, everybody will get the opportunity to engage with me during tours,” he said.

Mzoe7 praised the Maita Media Company which centres on advertising and business brand management for making him the brand ambassador which he said indicated his growth as an artiste in Bulawayo.

“The biggest thing that has happened right now is that the Maita Media Company has made me its brand ambassador. There are Mzoe7 cups and morning gowns, one of which I was wearing at the BAA,” he said.
