FORMER Bucs striker Phumudzo Manenzhe says Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro must wait for his chance and not get impatient.
Manenzhe believes that Zimbabwean striker Tendai Ndoro will have to wait for his chance at the club.
He believes that the former Mpumalanga Black Aces forward does not need to be given more game-time to find his footing at the club as he has had that already in the MTN 8.

“At a team like Orlando Pirates you don’t need to be given more game-time. The opportunity you get given you have to use it. Who would’ve thought (Thamsanqa) Gabuza would be where he is now. He made use of the chance he was given,” Manenzhe told Goalcom.

“Ndoro was given a chance in the top eight (against Ajax Cape Town) and I feel that he didn’t use it. At a big club like Orlando Pirates, you get given one or two opportunities and if you don’t use it you are going to have to wait unfortunately,” Manenzhe added.

Manenzhe set the scene alight in the 2004/05 with the Buccaneers in a season that saw them finish runners-up to Kaizer Chiefs. They lost the title on the last day of that particular campaign.

Manenzhe, was however, impressed with the form of the man who handed the Amakhosi the league that season – Zambian Collins Mbesuma.

“Mbesuma has impressed most of all the strikers in the league so far. His work-rate and form has been impressive this season,” Manenzhe said. He also backs Mbesuma and Gabuza to slug it out for the league’s top goal-scorer accolade, saying one of the two will walk away with the crown.

“Mbesuma and Gabuza, those are the two players that I think will challenge for the top scorer award. I think it’s going to be between these two of them who will win the award,” Manenzhe said. – Goalcom.
