TRAILBLAZING all female imbube ensemble Nobuntu are set to take their latest album to the United States, where they are set to perform in a series of shows in the coming months.

The tour in the North American autumn will be the second this year for the five women group, who graced stages in that country less than two months ago.

That tour, which lasted from the end of May to mid June, was courtesy of an invite from the  Philadelphia International Festival of Arts (Pifa).

With an album on the horizon, the globe-trotting all-women ensemble is now set to go on the road again. Although they are yet to give the title of their upcoming project, Nobuntu have already released a single titled Cula.

On the upcoming tour, the group will grace stages in Santa Monica, California, Pennsylvania and Minnesota among others.

Despite the scheduled tour or North America, the group has indicated to the media before their previous tour to the United States that they would like to launch the album in the City of Kings before taking it to foreign stages.

North America seems to be the group’s new favourite hunting ground, although they have toured most parts of the globe in the few years since the group’s launch.

In 2016 Nobuntu released their 2nd album called Ekhaya which took them to North America for the first time and have not looked back ever since. Ekhaya was a worthwhile follow-up to 2013’s Thina, an album which immediately took them beyond the borders to countries such as Austria, Germany, Belgium and Czech Republic, playing in concert halls, theatres and festivals such as “Voice Mania” in Vienna and “Trans-Vocal” in Frankfurt-Oder.
