IF she thought the sex scene was bad, wait until she gets to the shower scene. Rihanna could not bear to watch her steamy session during her Bates Motel debut last Monday, she said during an Instagram post.

The 29-year-old plays the ill-fated Marion Crane, the iconic role made famous by Janet Leigh in the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho. So the world famous singer started a drinking game which she shared live on social media. Last Monday night ex-girlfriend of Drake posted an Instagram Live video of her watching her first episode.

“This is so weird, oh my God,” she said as she covered her face and looked away from the screen where she was getting down and dirty. “I can’t,” she added.

The Barbadian couldn’t even bear to hear herself either. “I can’t hear my voice. It’s, like, gross!” she cringed. To make it a little more bearable, she proposed a drinking game, taking a tequila shot every time anyone uttered the name “Norman.”

In the first of her two-arc episodes, Marion is introduced in the sexy scene in bed with her boyfriend, Sam Loomis (now played by Austin Nichols). Rihanna looked stunning as Marion with her red hair short and wavy as it touches her shoulders.

She enjoys her tryst with her man in Seattle before making her way to the Oregon motel.

She begs Sam, who is drowning in debt and says he is trying to make some fast money, to marry her as he’s about to go out of town and she asks to come with him. She kisses Sam goodbye as he presumably leaves to try and make money for their future together.

Marion, who is a notary public, goes into work wearing a tight grey suit that shows off a little bit of subtle cleavage. She is tasked with signing official property documents for a wealthy customer buying property and presented with the a briefcase with $40 000 in cash.

Marion is asked to deposit the contents before the bank closes when her boss has to take an emergency meeting. Before he leaves, she asks about a job she wants, but is rejected because she doesn’t have a college degree and then asks for a raise instead. She is again told no and reluctantly agrees to deposit the money for her boss.

But, instead of cashing the money, Marion decides to take it all and start a new life for herself and Sam in his hometown. The actress looks cool in a red convertible as she drives through the northwestern wilderness. She is pulled over by a police officer for having her coat hanging out of the trunk of her car and tells the officer she is on her way to San Francisco to visit her boyfriend.

Visibly nervous when the police officer asks her to pop the trunk, she lucks out when he doesn’t notice the briefcase with $40 000 that she stole. Marion calls her boyfriend and asks him to meet her at ‘‘that’’ motel.

The beautiful singer from Barbados was cast in the role of Marion after showrunners read that Bates Motel was her favourite show and they wrote the role specifically for her.

“She has enormous charisma,” executive producer Carlton Cuse told Variety. He continued: “I think it’s no accident that any number of singers have successfully transitioned into acting. Among my personal favourites are Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra.”
