SOUTH African kwaito and rap sensation, Cash Time boss K.O is more than ready to rock the city, organisers say, as they are determinedly working on promoting the show to be held in the city at the end of the month.

Dubbed Best of Both Worlds, the show has been billed for the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo on 29 April, where K.O will perform alongside Ninja president Winky D and backed by a lineup of local artistes including local rap star Cal_Vin.

The show is being held by award winning entertainment promotion agency 2 Kings in Conjunction with Cavendish Lyold Zimbabwe and is hash tagged get off the grid party.

In an interview an organiser from 2 Kings Dee Nosh said all was in order and K.O was ready to rock the city.

“He is ready to rock the city and can’t wait, this would be his second time performing in Bulawayo and he can’t wait to meet his fans and hopefully get a chance to sample some of his new tracks here. He is also hoping to work with local guys so this indeed will be the best of both worlds,” said Dee Nosh.

Tickets for the show have been pegged at $10 and will be available at every Coloursel shop in the country.

Dee Nosh also said they had launched a competition for fans, whereby they would be giving away free tickets to the show.

“We will be giving away tickets to lucky winners and there will be more in store on the day of the show where we have partnered with K.O to give away and sell some souvenirs such as t-shirts, caps, hats and hand bands,” said Dee Nosh.

Ntokozo Mdluli, popularly known by his stage name, K.O, is a South African rapper who rose to prominence with the group Teargas after releasing their critically acclaimed debut album K’shubile K’bovu in 2006, under Electromode Music.

Teargas, which then had three members, K.O, Ntukza and Ma-E, later released three other albums titled, Wafa Wafa (2008), Dark or Blue (2009) and Number Number (2012) (stylised as Num8er Num8er) which were all commercially successful. K.O co-runs a music and entertainment company called “Cashtime Life”.

K.O released the singles “Mission Statement”, Son of a Gun”, “Caracara” and Skhanda Love preceding the release of his solo debut studio album, Skhanda Republic which was released in November 2014.

In May 2014, K.O lost a significant amount of weight.

This sent social media into frenzy with rumours that K.O was HIV positive. However, his manager Thabiso Khati denied those rumours stating that K.O had undergone a strict diet plan and was exercising regularly.

K.O later released a statement regarding his health and posted a picture of his blood test results on his Twitter and Instagram page, showing he was HIV-negative.

On 1 July 2016, the rapper announced a new single plus his new album coming up later this year.

The Rapper finally released his much-awaited song titled Don Dada featuring Okmalumkoolkat on 14 October.

K.O has been nominated for various awards in South Africa as well.
