NATIONAL cricket team coach, Heath Streak has clarified on the composition of the Zimbabwe A squad to play against Canada in three 50 over matches at Harare Sports Club this week.
National team players, including skipper Graeme Cremer dominate the Zimbabwe A side to meet Canada in what has caused an outcry because up-and-coming talent ought to have been chosen. Streak, who is away for the Indian Premier League where he is the bowling coach of Gujarat Lions, explained that due to a shortage of fixtures for the national team, they have to take advantage of the Canada tour to get the senior team players ready for next month’s visit to Scotland, Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
