TURKEY will this year exhibit at the 58th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) after years of absence.

ZITF Company marketing and public relations manager Miss Stella Nkomo said the trans-continental country in Eurasia is part of the 10 countries that have confirmed their participation at this year’s exhibition.

The multi-sectoral exhibition will run from 25 to 29 April under the theme: “Harnessing Linkages for Industrial Development”.

“So far, 10 countries have confirmed their participation namely, Botswana, Japan, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Iran, China, South Africa, Turkey, and India. Of these, Turkey is making a return after many years of absence while Iran usually represented by its embassy, this year also has individual companies that have confirmed their participation,” said Miss Nkomo.

About 70 percent of the exhibition space has been sold, the same as last year during the same period.

“Preparations for the 58th edition of ZITF are well on course. We are engaging all our stakeholders to ensure that we deliver a good show that will benefit our participants. Focus is on selling space allocated for the exhibition. To date 33 885 square metres have been booked which converts to 70 percent of available space having been sold. This is at par with the situation at the same time last year,” said Miss Nkomo.

The ZITF Company is also urging exhibitors to sign up for the various networking platforms which include the ZITF International Business Conference, Manufacturers Forum and the ZITF Charity Golf Challenge.

“Behind the scenes, the efficiency of the ZITF online registration and matchmaking platforms, mobile applications and gate management systems is being improved to ensure smoother access and service delivery. We urge our exhibitors and visitors to sign up for our online match making facility so that they benefit entirely from their participation at ZITF,” said Miss Nkomo.

In the wake of the prevailing harsh economic conditions the ZITF Company is providing affordable custom made stand design packages to suit any budget through its subsidiary Expo Designs — a stand building arm of the organisation.

“We are offering a full range of services and a total support package to assist exhibitors in making their participation a complete success. A team has been dedicated to offer full support for the exhibitors’ participation from conceptualising participation objectives to execution of the desired exhibition stand,” said Miss Nkomo.
