ARENEL Movers are upbeat ahead of their Zifa Division One Wafa Wafa knockout competition round of 16 fixture against FC Talen Vision at White City Stadium this afternoon.

Coached by Kudzayi Mhandire, Arenel are fired up before they clash with Talen Vision as they look to put behind the disappointment of 2019 which saw them being relegated from the Zifa Southern Region Division One League.

Despite their demotion, Arenel were invited back into Division One based on their good standing after Ingagula failed to pay the affiliation fee, which would have left the league with 17 teams.

Arenel look much organised as they launched their kit for the 2021/22 season. They have experience in the form of former Highlanders goalkeeper Wintson Chiwetu who should start in goals against Lizwe Sweswe’s men.

Ngoni Madawu, the Arenel treasurer said they are optimistic of better prospects this season after a disastrous 2019 campaign which ended in relegation. Two matches are lined up for White City this afternoon. Before Talen Vision meet Arenel, Bosso90 clash with Ratanang in a midday kickoff.

Only 16 of the 18 teams are taking part in the knockout competition after Moto Moto and Indosakusa asked to be excused.

The match between ZPC Hwange and Binga Pirates could not take place yesterday after the latter could not make the trip to the coal mining town.
