A lean field of three-year-old runners will be loaded for their final test for the thoroughbred horse on Sunday next week that will take them over 2 400m at Borrowdale Racecourse.

As part of the preparations for this ultimate test everyone at the racecourse is anxious for Mashonaland Turf to push out the final list for this much awaited showdown.

Familiar faces that have been around since the first and second tests are still standing tall while their trainers are eager to see them run their final test.

From the two race meetings held so far Sygone has been the fastest three-year-old, winning all the two legs of the Tripple Crown over 1 600m and 2 000m respectively in style much to the chagrin of rival yards.

Not many additions are expected from the previous field which was made up of Sygone the leader so far, Action Jackson, Three to Tango, Rain Spider, Crown Brewed and Red Pollard.

According to the racing manager Betina Gurajena the race has been pushed forward to next week due to the holidays.

“We have decided to push the race forward due to the Easter holiday however, we expect to meet next week for the declarations. After the declarations we expect to be done with compiling and printing the card which punters can lay their hands on around Wednesday next week,” said Gurajena.

Fans will be anxious to see how the field will fare this time around bearing in mind that even though the distance was huge during the fast race during the second it go even shorter.

Taking into considering the distance that has continued to increase which now stands an additional 400m longer, this one might head all the way to the wire.
