RENOWNED Australia-based philanthropist, businesswoman, motivational speaker and author, Hazel Herrington-Meares has once again landed it big, as she has become the international and public relations brand ambassador for Beautiful Bulawayo Trust.

Herrington-Meares, speaking to Sunday Life said she was selected to assist the organisation to fulfill four main pillars that will contribute to the revival of the city and the nation as a whole.
“The Beautiful Bulawayo Trust anchors on four pillars which are destination marketing, economic development, business networking and nation building. As an international and public relations brand ambassador I will play an integral role in ensuring that the vehicle finds its place in the market place both nationally and on the globe.
“As the flagship of the trust I assume full responsibility of marketing the brand, mobilise and structure partnerships, packages and facility for specific projects in the trust’s contribution towards turning both city, province and nation into a world class destination,” said Herrington-Meares.
She added that the trust will go beyond re-inventing the city, province and country but will also inspire Africa.
“It’s thrust as a developmental vessel is to contribute towards the re-invention of both city and province as we leverage for its comparative advantages, turning it into a launch pad for national economic growth.
The trust has a national outlook and maintains an African appeal in its endeavours and undertakings as it aspires to be the cradle of the African renaissance,” she said.
She added: “Beautiful Bulawayo Trust’s board of trustees and staff complement are a youthful crop from various backgrounds who have co-ordinated themselves into a robust unit and are ready to take on the world.”
She has been mentoring many young people and women on entrepreneurship skills locally, regionally and internationally. She said she found it prudent to assist women as they play an important role in the economy.
In Zimbabwe she has made appearances at the Econet and Steward Bank “Millennials Career Fair”, at the Zimbabwe Youth Empowerment Programme, among other events.
Herrington-Meares, a woman with many talents, is a business consultant and strategist, international speaker, television host, celebrity interviewer, magazine editor, property investor, global brand ambassador, member of UN Women Australia and humanitarian.
