BCC opens four clinics for Covid-19 vaccination

VACCINATION against Covid-19 continues across the country with the Bulawayo City Council availing four council clinics to be used during the Easter holidays.

In a statement on Friday, Bulawayo Town Clerk Mr Christopher Dube said vaccination at designated clinics will be from 8am to 12 pm.

“The City of Bulawayo would like to notify residents that the following clinics are open for Covid-19 vaccination during the holidays from 8am to 12pm. Luveve Clinic, Nkulumane Clinic, Pelandaba Clinic and Mzilikazi Clinic. As per the Ministry of Health and Child Care roll out plan, the following residents above 18 years of age are currently eligible: Frontline workers /essential services, those with chronic illnesses, the elderly above 60 years of age, schools and colleges staff and security.”

The country is aiming to vaccinate at least 60 percent of the population to form a herd immunity to tackle the disease.
