BUY Zimbabwe has become the first Zimbabwean company to introduce the tender tracking system, bundling up the information and sharing to its relevant partners.
The system is meant to equip Buy Zimbabwe’s partners with opportunities to be active on the private and public sector supply chain. In a newsletter, Buy Zimbabwe said the system started in January.
It added that the robust tender tracking system is meant to avail information for local companies that might not be easily accessible, assisting in crafting the necessary requirements for them to compete. Buy Zimbabwe chief executive officer, Mr Munyaradzi Hwengwere said the company was a market access organisation putting through a quality and capacity certification audit for its partners.
“Buy Zimbabwe is a market access organisation putting through a quality and capacity certification audit for its partners. The audited companies will be furnished with tenders that are both from the public and private sector,” he said.
Mr Hwengwere said this was a ground breaking opportunity for companies to be well equipped with the relevant information to supply both the public and private sector, in return creating jobs, wealth and nation’s pride.
Last year, the Buy Zimbabwe Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with neighbouring counterpart Proudly South African to support local initiatives aimed at improving local brands and foster economic growth.
