THE number of confirmed Covid-19 positive cases in Bulawayo now stands at 64 after the city recorded six more cases on Wednesday.
This comes as the country’s total number of confirmed cases has risen to 605 after 14 new cases being recorded on the day
According to statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care of the 14 new cases one was a returnee from South Africa while the rest were local transmissions.
“Two of the local cases are contacts of known confirmed cases, investigations are underway to establish the source of infection for the other 11 cases.
“To date the number of confirmed cases 605, recovered 166, active cases 432 and seven deaths since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020,” reads the update.
Harare remains the epicenter of Covid-19 cases after the province also recorded six more cases, bringing the total number to 225.
