A Chinhoyi man is on the run and wanted by the police after he allegedly raped and then forced his victim to drink a tobacco pesticide which led to her death while admitted at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.
In a statement, the police revealed that Tafadzwa Nkonde (33) is being sought in connection with the case, which occurred at Muvhami Village, Makonde in Chinhoyi on 31 August 2024.
“The suspect allegedly raped a woman (37) before forcing her to consume a tobacco pesticide which was in her handbag. The victim died on 02/09/24 whilst admitted at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital,” reads the statement.
