THE recent Mine Entra exhibition in Bulawayo was a resounding success, solidifying Zimbabwe’s position as a major player in the global mining industry.

This premier event brought together international companies, mining professionals, Government officials, and investors to explore the vast opportunities in Zimbabwe’s mining sector.

President Mnangagwa’s keynote speech at the official opening highlighted the Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for mining investments. His message resonated with attendees, further boosting confidence in Zimbabwe’s mining industry.

Mine Entra 2024 attracted a significant number of foreign exhibitors, showcasing the global interest in Zimbabwe’s mining sector.

Companies from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, South Africa, and the United Kingdom displayed cutting-edge technologies, products, and services.

Notable international exhibitors included: Australian mining equipment manufacturer, Austin Engineering; Canadian mining software provider, Seequent; Chinese mining equipment supplier, Sany Heavy Industry; German mining technology firm, Siemens and Indian mining equipment manufacturer, BEML.

These foreign exhibitors demonstrated their commitment to Zimbabwe’s mining industry, seeking partnerships and opportunities for growth.

The exhibition also highlighted local companies’ capabilities in mining equipment manufacturing, services, and supply. This emphasis on local beneficiation aligns with the Government’s vision to increase value-addition and create jobs.

The Zimbabwean Government’s efforts to improve the business environment, coupled with the country’s rich mineral resources, make it an attractive destination for foreign investment.
