A THRILLING encounter is expected this morning when Ndola take on 94 Strivers at their TM Cowdray Park home ground in a Bulawayo Social Soccer League encounter.
Last year Ndola walked away with bragging rights after edging Strivers one nil in two legs. Ironically, both goals were scored during the dying minutes of the game. That defeat left Strivers with a bitter pill in their mouths. To make matters worse, the defeats struck their name from the Championship contenders list while paving way for Ndola who went on to grab it. Strivers Captain Prosper Mpofu believes that his team made some errors which Ndola capitalised on.
“From my perspective I do believe that the two games we lost to Ndola were because of the errors we made and they capitalised on that. In our first game away we did not vet their players at the same time our key players started from the bench because it was hard for us to cope with the tempo of the game, we lost it when the game was almost over. In our second game it was all our mistake. We failed to convert our chances and they scored from our defensive error,” he said.

However, this time around Mpofu believes they can turn the tables.
“I believe that we can win this time if our boys are focused throughout the entire game. At the same time we need to field the best available team.”
