Sunday Sermon, with Apostle Chisale
Greetings beloved nation in the name of Jesus Christ. We are living in the days where many people have lost trust in God but they are trusting so much in man. We have seen a number of men and women of God being heartbroken and some even taken to hospital because their high blood pressure would have shot up and this because the people they thought would  stand with them in their lives and their ministries have instead turned their backs on them.

Some of these people would have made promises to do certain things for them. For some it’s our relatives, our best friends, our close partners, a husband or a wife or our children that promised to send money and these people have disappointed us. Why? Because man will always be man. In the book of Jeremiah 17:5 it says, “Thus says the Lord:

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord.” We see here God speaking to the children of Israel. There are some people that trust so much in man more that trusting in God.

Let us not forget that man is not hundred percent perfect, they will always change. But there is a God in heaven who does not change. The bible tells us that He is the same today, yesterday and forever and we can put our trust in him fully and knowing that he will not let us down.

This God is faithful above every man on earth. In verse 7 of Jeremiah 17 it says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.” So when you trust God you are blessed but when you trust man you are cursed.
People make promises and then tomorrow they change.

That’s why the bible says in Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” So the bible tells us that a) God is not a man, b) He cannot lie and c) God does not repent. So meaning that all men are liars.

David one time said ‘let all men be liars but God true. So we see that there is a side of man that lies. One thing that we should understand is that God is the source and God uses man as a channel.

A channel and a source are two different things. A source is more powerful than a channel. When God says He is a forgiver, a healer or a restorer, He means it and surely He watches over His word to fulfil it and God does not forget.

A lot of men easily forget where they are coming from. Why? Because they are man. My encouragement is that we should focus on God more than man because man will disappoint you.

There is a man of God that I heard of who was taken to hospital because one of the members who was the highest tither left the church.

I pray that as men and women of God we stop focusing on man and we focus on our source whose name is Jesus who will never let us down and who is the supplier of everything. Let us stop depending on channels and let us look to the source of our lives. Jesus when he was here on earth never trusted man, his trust was in his father in heaven.

In John 2:2325 it says, “Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25 and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.”

We see that Jesus when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast he performed miracles and the bible says many believed in his name because they saw miracles he did. The bible tells us that Jesus did not commit himself unto them because he knew all men. Meaning that by God’s wisdom, when they were celebrating Jesus, how powerful he was, some making commitment to him and that he was such a great man, the bible tells us Jesus did not commit himself to them.

He knew all men by the spirit of God. In other words he had to search their hearts more than what they were saying.

Man can say things with their mouths whilst saying something different in their hearts. Why? Because they are man.

There are some women who have been promised marriage and now they see the guy is acting in a different way. Why?

Because he has said something with his mouth but his heart was saying something different. Let us learn this, when we are dealing with man, we must be like Jesus who did not commit himself to man. The bible says in verse 25 that ‘He knew what was in man’ by the wisdom of God. Let us not put our trust in man but let us trust in God. How many divorces have taken place in the world but when people were getting married they made vows saying death will separate us. But we see them death is not near them, but they have separated.

There are some people that have trusted so much in their men and women of God such that when they die they can lose their salvation.

I am talking to people who have been disappointed by man that they can heal as they focus on the cross of the Lord Jesus  who is the alpha and the omega. Some have trusted in their bosses, the next day they are fired. God is calling the nation to look unto Him.

The bible says those that look unto God will never be put to shame but if you focus on man, you will be covered with shame and disappointment. May God heal all the people that have been disappointed by man through the Holy Spirit.

You can still trust God and He can do better things for you than man. I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that he is your Lord and Saviour, and you shall be saved. May God bless you all and this beautiful nation of Zimbabwe. Amen
