FAITH World Ministries will be hosting its annual conference called Dominion Conference starting on Friday and ending on Sunday at the Large City Hall in Bulawayo.

The conference will be running under the theme; ‘‘depicting the faith’’. In an interview, one of the conference organisers, Pastor Kudzi Kamuka said they expect large numbers to come and share the word of God.

“At this conference we are looking at raising Christians who are equipped with the power of God. We also want to bring more souls to the Kingdom of God,” he said.

The church has eight branches in Bulawayo. The main branch is along Lobengula Street between 13th and 14th avenues. The church was established in June 1993 by Dr Bartholomew Manjoro.

Dr Manjoro was born in 1945 in a remote village in Manicaland province. He was a victim of whooping cough right from birth and nobody ever thought he would survive.

“I was therefore, detained in the small remote rural hospital where I stayed for four years. My parents would visit me there until finally by the grace of God, I was discharged and brought home. The devil wanted to kill me from an early stage of my life,” said Bishop Dr Manjoro.

Dr Manjoro was called to full-time ministry in 1968 at the age of 23. He travelled all over Africa evangelising and planting churches. After 25 years of ministry, he said God told him to leave the organisation he was working with.

“This was the most difficult decision I had to make in my first 25 years of ministry,” he said.

Dr Manjoro said he had no option except to obey God and in June 1993 he founded Faith World Ministries, and a year later Faith World Bible College.

Dr Manjoro is the founder and president of Faith World Ministries and Bible College. He is also a member of ICBM, The Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship and a representative of Christ For the Nations Association of Bible Colleges. He has also been conferred with an Honorary Appointment to the Research Board of Advisers for The American Biographical Institute (ABI).

The Bishop has travelled the nations of the world preaching and teaching the word in different conferences and churches in United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Australia and in most African countries.

He is well-known for an uncompromising stance of word and powerful teaching on faith and living by it.

Dr Manjoro functions as an apostle with miracles, signs and wonders accompanying his ministry.

He has established churches in South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, DRC, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, United Kingdom and Canada with the Church Headquarters in Zimbabwe.

The Bible School also has campuses in Zimbabwe, South Africa and United Kingdom.

Dr Manjoro is also an author of several books including, Dynamics of Faith, Deliverance and “The Marks of A Champion”, a timely classic expounding on the attributes possessed by all great men and women in life.
