SOCCER giants Highlanders are looking for an assistant finance officer to join their secretariat.
Bosso have flighted an advertisement for the job.
“An opportunity has arisen up in our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, controls and maintenance of all financial records.
“Qualified and experienced candidates who have experience in the football industry are encouraged to apply,” read part of the advertisement.
The finance department has had issues in the past three years with the club twice failing to present audited accounts at its Annual General Meeting.
There are reports that at least US$9 000 cannot be accounted for at the club.
Two different sets of audit firms have had adverse reports on the way Bosso finances have been handled in recent years.
Highlanders have been without a finance officer following the suspension of Sihlalisiwe Mnkandla last year.
With the matter still in the courts, this appears a tactical manoeuvre by the club to have operations moving smoothly with the appointment of an assistant financial officer to fill the void left by Mnkandla.
