Hwange face Ngezi Platinum in friendly Bongani Mafu

NGEZI Platinum Stars who are having their pre-season camp in Victoria Falls will get an opportunity to fine tune for the 2023 season when they face Hwange on Wednesday as they step up their pre-season preparations.

Hwange, back in the Premier Soccer League after winning the Zifa Southern Region Division One announced that they are facing Ngezi Platinum at the Colliery Stadium.
“Our pre-season gets heated up next Wednesday 01 February 2023 when we gauge how far we have gone so far in the training when we face fellow miners Ngezi Platinum at 3pm at the Colliery Stadium. Our fans must come and see the boys in action and have a feel of what to expect!! Fee $1,’’ announced Hwange.

Zifa Southern Region

Chipangano have reappointed Bongani Mafu as their head coach, with the former Highlanders coach making a return after dumping the coal miners for a role as an assistant at Ngezi Platinum.
The Platinum miners finished fourth last season under Takesure Chiragwi who had taken over from Benjani Mwaruwari. The former Zimbabwe Warriors captain was sacked during the course of the season after a string of poor results.

Chiragwi managed to impress the bosses and has been handed the task to lead the side to their first league title after being upgraded from interim to substantive. Ngezi Platinum have added some new players to their squad ahead of the new season.
Malvin Gaki, formely with Chicken Inn has joined the Baobab based Ngezi Platinum on a two year contract.
He made the shift to Madamburo on a free transfer after his deal with the Gamecocks expired in December.

Takesure Chiragwi

Ngezi Platinum have also sealed a deal with Gareth Madhake who used to play for Black Rhinos. Madhake had reports linking him to Dynamos in this transfer window before he joined Ngezi Platinum.
The 2023 league season is set to get underway in mid-February with a clash between Chibuku Super Cup champions Bulawayo Chiefs and four times in a row league winners FC Platinum in the Castle Challenge Cup. — Follow on Twitter @innocentskizoe
