CLOTHING retail chain Jet Stores, that trades under the Edgars Stores Group will start offering online shopping and introduce a number of financial programmes meant to ease the burden on its customers.

Speaking after the official opening of the company’s 30th branch in the country in Hwange on Friday, Edgars Group spokesperson Miss Rumbi Dzimba said each branch will have a specific WhatsApp line to promote online shopping.

“To stay on the radar of the ever evolving shopper, the Jet brand has e-commerce platforms available via online shopping on shop.jet.co.zw and branch specific WhatsApp shopping which allows for a seamless, one of a kind customer experience. For added shopper convenience, Jet offers various financial services programmes targeted at easing financial burden to the customer.

“This includes flexible payment terms through lay-by and credit accounts allowing the customer to spread their account payment up to six months.

“The retailer also has a customised Loyalty programme, Thank U which is aimed at celebrating and rewarding the customer`s shopping journey,” she said.

Miss Dzimba said on top, the company will offer short term loans in store through Club Plus microfinance.

She said more branches will be opened to increase the company’s brick and mortar footprint. Officiating at the event, Hwange Colliery Company Limited operations manager Engineer Musekeli Maphosa said the development would go a long way in creating employment for locals.

“As a town we are humbled by your company coming to Hwange.

“From a business standpoint we want to continue to forge strong relationships with the business community and you are now one of them.

“We hope that Corporate Social Responsibility will reduce the unemployment rate as more locals get opportunities which in turn improve their livelihoods,” said Eng Maphosa.

Jet Chain managing director Mr Peter Mnyama said the company will continue to offer competitive prices to its customers.

“We are glad to be opening our 30th store here in Hwange. I believe that this community is going to enjoy competitive  prices with the coming in of the new store.

“We have different terms to suit every customer,” he said.
