HIGHLANDERS were last night rescued from their callous financial position by King’s Bullion who gave the club sponsorship worth US$300 000 for the year.
Bosso who have not paid salaries in the last month, will travel to Baobab Stadium on Sunday inspired to start with a bang after the sponsorship unveiling.
Club spokesperson Nozibelo Maphosa confirmed last night that the sponsorship is worth US$300 000 and may be renewed at the end of the year.
King’s Bullion were represented by chief executive officer Fradreck Kunaka and chief operating officer Nyasha Hamadziripi.
Kunaka hinted that they could renew the deal at the end of the year.
The traditional big three have struggled in recent years but owe their survival to this day to companies like Sakunda and BetterBrands that they are still existing. Gate takings have dwindled leaving them to play second fiddle to individual company and mine owned teams.
FC Platinum, Ngezi Platinum and Simba Bhora have won the last six league championships because of their better funding.
