GROWING up in Bulawayo’s Sauerstown suburb, Kizolamaak, real name Keith Sibanda, was caught while still young to become an artiste.

The fast-growing young afro-fusion and dancehall artiste is head over heels as he is looking forward to collaborating with the Jewish hit-maker Ma9nine in his first hip-hop single titled Ama2000. He is also set to drop it with visuals at the end of May.

In an interview with Sunday Life ,Kizolamaak said; “I remember my former primary school teacher Mrs Mhlanga always asked us as a class to showcase our talents. I would do songs by the late rape king Cal_Vin and then others would dance, recite poems, among other things. My teacher would always say I have a voice and one day I will be an artiste.”

He went on to say, “To top up the support I got from school, my mother used to say I am an imitation of my late father because he was also an artiste.

It is such words of affirmation that motivated me. Then I started being serious with music and recording my own songs after a Cluster Annual Science Sports and Arts Festival (Cassaf ) competition that was held at Ihlathi High School in 2019.”

Kizolamaak’s recent project featuring Focus Mr Focky titled Ngangithi ngimtholile is making waves and also air-played on radio stations in Bulawayo and beyond.

“I have done collaborations with a number of artistes like, Situation, Dice, Ras Tekken, Meeky Blakk, Double D, and my best collaboration was with Focus Mr Focky on our track Ngangithi ngimtholile.

I have also worked with different producers like DJ Levels and DJ Fantan from Chillspot records in Harare. I am also looking forward to a lot of collaborations this year with big artistes in the city because I believe that is one of the ways I can grow in this industry,” he said.
