The Sunday News
Elections are a few days away, but we must not forget that it is just an episode that will pass after a couple of hours, and after that, we will be opening a new chapter.
I am hoping that every Zimbabwean, despite political affiliations, has the same mindset, that of rebuilding the country.
Even if your party does not win, you still remain Zimbabwean and have to accept defeat and join hands with your opposite number and work towards the betterment of the country.
For now, we might differ on several things, but what I know is that everyone wants the economy to get back on its feet and this can only be achieved through working together.
Let us remain united after these harmonised elections.
Whoever will be in power after the dust has settled, let us help him or her in any way we can so that Zimbabwe rises to be a powerhouse, not just in the continent, but in the world.
We have the resources, we have the knowledge and we have the manpower, but we will not progress if we are divided.
Let us go out and vote for our preferred candidates.
Let us all accept the outcome and start working towards the future.
Patriotic Zimbabwean, Harare.
