Letters to the Editor: The abduction ‘nonsense’ must stop

The Sunday News

This whole week there has been a lot of noise about the abduction of a certain doctor, with some sections blindly claiming that Government had a hand in the incident.

One question I asked myself is what would be Government’s benefit in abducting this fellow.

For some time now, there are elements that try by all means to paint a picture that security agents are in the business of abductions, yet no tangible evidence exists to back up their unfounded theories.

I am now convinced that there actually is another force at play.

Agents of regime change have employed various tactics in a quest to achieve their goals and I am sure these stage-managed abductions are just another trick they are trying out.

Security agents need to get to the bottom of this nonsense and deal, once and for all, with these mischievous elements trying to soil the image of the country.

Whoever is involved in these fake abductions needs to be thrown behind bars.

These are attention seeking manoeuvres that will give us problems if they are not countered.

To an extent, we should treat them as acts of terrorism.

At least the security services have highlighted that they are investigating. We need this madness to end.
