Man murders grandmother (94) accusing her of bewitching him

A MAN who killed his 94-year-old grandmother after accusing her of bewitching him has been found guilty and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

According to a press statement released by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, Takudzwa Mugariri (27) appeared before the High Court sitting in Gweru.

“Takudzwa Mugariri was arraigned before the High Court sitting in Gweru on murder charges. On the 3rd of February 2024, the accused person struck his 94-year-old grandmother using a log several times all over the body leading to her death. He accused her of bewitching him.

“A police report was made leading to the arrest of the accused person. He was convicted and sentenced to 18 years imprisonment,” reads the statement.
