HIGHLANDERS Football Club have announced the departure of vice-captain Nqobizitha Masuku who has joined Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana.

The defensive midfielder was not part of the squad that resumed training at the club house grounds on Monday and a day after, Amahlolanyama have made the announcement that he is joining Galaxy on a permanent transfer. The midfielder had a running contract with Bosso ending 2025. The club did not go into detail over finer details regarding the deal.

“The club would like to announce the departure of vice captain Nqobizitha Masuku. Masuku has completed a permanent move to Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana.  We are grateful for the contribution he made to the club during his stay at Bosso. We wish well in his endeavours,” Bosso announced.

The 29-year-old was at Zambian top-flight side BuildCon in 2018 but returned to Highlanders just a season later.

Masuku becomes the second Highlanders player to join Galaxy after Daniel Msendami who initially went to the Botswana side in August 2022 on loan before he was sold for what is believed to be US$12 000 last month.
