THE Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training has warned the public against a fake link circulating on various media platforms requesting applications for the Zimbabwe Youth Empowerment cash grant for the year 2025.
This comes after President Mnangagwa launched the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme in Harare on Thursday.
In a statement on Friday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Mr Solomon Mhlanga said the ministry’s attention has been drawn to the fake link circulating on various social media platforms requesting applications for the Zimbabwe Youth Empowerment Cash Granit for the year 2025.
“The Ministry wishes to clarify that the online application itself is fake and the Ministry is not having any applications and it is not running anything of that sort.
“The Ministry wishes to clarify to the public that it has not partnered with any stakeholder and the online platform has been set by impersonators swindling innocent people their hard-earned money, said Mr Mhlanga.
He said the ministry has not announced or opened any applications yet and advises the nation and all its stakeholders that any information about the Presidential Empowerment Scheme will be communicated and released through the mainstream media and the Ministry’s social media platforms.
